Juneberry Plains Solar is a proposed 100 MW solar energy facility located in the Rural Municipality of Excel, Saskatchewan. The proposed project was submitted to SaskPower’s 2024 Request for Proposals on April 25, 2024 and is estimated to start construction in 2026, achieving commercial operations by Q4 2027.

Juneberry Plains Solar is a proposed solar energy project located in the Rural Municipality of Excel, Saskatchewan, aiming to generate 100 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable power. With construction targeted to begin in 2026 and operations set to start in 2027, the project is planned for a duration of over 30 years. The development will include an undetermined number of solar panels, along with supporting infrastructure such as access roads, electrical collector lines, an operations and maintenance building, and a substation. This initiative is expected to make a significant contribution to the region’s sustainable energy future.
