Elmsthorpe Wind Project
The Elmsthorpe Wind Project is a proposed wind project to be located in Rural Municipality of Elmsthorpe, south of the town of Avonlea. The proposed project would have a name plate capacity of 200 MW. The project is estimated to start construction in 2027 and be in Commercial Operation in 2028. Project Summary
The Elmsthorpe Wind Project is a proposed 200-megawatt (MW) renewable energy project located in the Rural Municipality of Elmsthorpe, south of the town of Avonlea, Saskatchewan. Designed for a lifespan of over 30 years, the project is scheduled to begin construction in 2026 and be completed by 2027. Key infrastructure will include wind turbines, a network of access roads, electrical collector lines, a substation, an operations and maintenance (O\&M) building, and a switching station, all situated on private land. The project aims to provide a long-term, sustainable source of clean energy for the region.
