Coyote Plains Solar is a proposed 100 MW solar energy facility located in the Rural Municipality of Bengough, Saskatchewan. The proposed project was submitted to SaskPower’s 2024 Request for Proposals on April 25, 2024 and is estimated to start construction in 2026, achieving commercial operations by Q4 2027.
Project Summary
Coyote Plains Solar is a proposed large-scale renewable energy project in the Rural Municipality of Bengough, Saskatchewan, targeting a generation capacity of 100 megawatts (MW). Set to begin construction in 2026 with operations commencing in 2027, the project is designed for a lifespan exceeding 30 years. Key infrastructure will include an undetermined number of solar panels, along with access roads, electrical collector lines, an operations and maintenance building, and a substation to support efficient energy transmission. This development aims to contribute significantly to sustainable energy generation in the region.
