Matt joined Clearlight Energy in 2026 and serves as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than two decades of experience across power markets, capital formation, and complex energy investments.

Prior to joining Clearlight Energy, Matt spent nearly 20 years at LS Power, where he most recently served as Managing Director. In this role, he was responsible for the commercial and financial oversight of the firm’s power generation portfolio, including asset performance, investment strategy, and capital deployment. His experience spans the full investment lifecycle, encompassing acquisitions, financings, due diligence, and value optimization across utility-scale generation, distributed energy platforms, and broader power and energy sector investments.

Earlier in his career, Matt was an Analyst in Merrill Lynch & Co.’s Energy & Power Investment Banking group, where he focused on unregulated power generation financings and mergers and acquisitions.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Virginia.
