Ben Rice

Mr. Rice is the VP of Engineering & Technology at Clearlight Energy, overseeing the company’s engineering, data solutions, and IT/OT functions responsible for advancing the technical performance, reliability, and digital capabilities across its portfolio of wind, solar, and emerging energy assets.

Prior to joining Clearlight Energy, Mr. Rice served as Head of Engineering for U.S. Onshore Wind at bp, where he led the technical strategy and reliability programs across its fleet of operating wind assets. With an early career focused on renewable energy, he previously held a series of engineering leadership and analytics roles at Pattern Energy and EDP Renewables, building deep expertise in data-driven asset optimization and technical risk management.

Mr. Rice holds a Masters of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Rhodes College.
